On July 1st at 20.30, the 3rd CENILS project meeting will take place in Wien.

The venue is the Fleming's Deluxe Hotel Wien-City, Josefstädter Straße 10-12. This is going to be the third time where the CENILS Partners meet in person in order to evaluate the stage of implementation of planned activities. Aim of the meeting is to organise activities to be carried out to successfully reach the end of the project.

On the 25th of June 2014, two representatives from CAENels d.o.o., Sezana, visited the Laboratory of Quantum Optics at the University of Nova Gorica (PP2).

A promising collaboration to develop a new instrument of common interest is starting between PP2 and CEANels.

Dates for experiments with the "Principal Target Group" at LP (Elettra-Sincrotrone Trieste) and PP2 (University of Nova Gorica) site are going to be advertised soon.

At the Laboratory of Quantum Optics (PP2) a "Multi Harmonic Generator", from ATSEVA, is currently being implemented. With this instrument it is possible to generate second (400 nm) and third (266 nm) harmonic of the ultrafast Ti:Sapphire (800 nm) laser of the lab.

On the April 10th, in Trieste at the NH Hotel, the 1st Workshop of the "Central European Network for knowledge based on Innovative Light Sources" will take place. The Workshop is organised in three sessions, where invited people among researches, policy makers, scientists, students, representatives of SMEs, will discuss on

  • Development and use of innovative light sources and the role of research
  • Cooperation between public and private sector in the field of research and innovation
  • Projects in the field of research and innovation: guidelines for european funds
