On the 15th of January 2014, 2 representatives of Optotek d.o.o visited Elettra - Sincrotrone Trieste. They were very interested in the laser laboratories at both LP and PP2. Interesting discussion for future common activities took place.

On the 18th of December 2013 the Slovenian CENILS partner organization, the University of Nova Gorica(PP2) hosted the 2nd CENILS Project Meeting. Since the official launch of the project it is the second time where all CENILS Partner meet in person in order to evaluate the stage of implementation of planned activities and to define the objectives of Study-Visits being organized during 2013 with the involvement of SMEs. Among others, the Partnership also aimed to introduce a radically new concept of organizing CENILS pilot actions, to discuss the main communication tasks for partners and to develop further co-operation opportunities.

On the 3rd of December 2013 a joint delegation of Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste (LP) and University of Nova Gorica (PP2) visited the Animal Hospital Postonja in Slovenia to discuss about the opportunity of studying the chemical properties of the molecules which are at the basis of the photodynamic therapy.

On the 29th of November 2013 a representative of BISOL enterprise visited the University of Nova Gorica (PP2) Laboratory of Quantum Optics to start planning future experiments with ultrafast lasers, to improve the harvesting of light process of solar cells based on CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium diSelenide).

On the 28th of November 2013 the Czech CENILS Partner European Development Agency (PP5) brought to visit Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste (LP) two SMEs, IAB and KPB Intra, and one research institute, CEITEC, to think on possible applications of time resolved spetroscopies on DNA investigation, to develop electro-optical sensors for very high voltage (VHV) and to implement an experiment with the laser based High order Harmonic Generation (HHG) light source.
